IF thou be subject to any great vanity, nourish it not: If it will be entertained, encourage it not: If it grow strong, more strongly strive against it; if too strong, pray against it; If it weaken not, joyn fasting to the Prayer; if it shall continue, adde Perseverance to both; If it decline not, adde Patience to all, and thou hast conquered it.
